Canyon Creek Cottage Cabin Rentals

Selected as one of the "100 MOST BEAUTIFUL RUSTIC VACATIONS IN NORTH AMERICA", Canyon Creek Cottage Cabin Rentals is a 3-acre mountain setting below the majestic Beartooth Mountains, outside of Red Lodge, only a few hours drive away from the famous Yellowstone Park.   Property includes a main cabin, (sleeping 6), a bunkhouse (sleeping 2), a horse barn and corral, and an authentic working outhouse for those who might choose to "rough it," a pond stocked with trout, and a meadow area complete with a hammock hung between two huge aspen trees.

A running mountain stream surrounds the property with several small waterfalls-perfect for wading at many points.  A grove of mature Aspens provides a very colorful landscape on one edge of the long property, while the opposite end is forested with many varieties of very old, tall tress.  One area of the property offer easy hiking up a steep hill, perfect for family jaunts.  The immediate area around the cabins is grassed/manicured with pine and blue spruce trees providing privacy on one side while the mountains provide both privacy and beauty on the opposite side.

Both cabins are authentic log cabins.  Main cabin is configured with a dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, living room and two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower.  Bunkhouse has queen futon and bathroom with toilet and sink.  Main cabin livingroom log addition is from an 1890's homestead which was dismantled, logs repeeled, and new structure built with the original 100-year-old logs.

The location, while remote, is only 10 miles from Red Lodge, 1/4 mile outside the peaceful secluded village of Luther, 10 miles from the Roscoe and its famous Grizzly Bar, 70 miles from Billings, 40 miles away from Yellowstone Park, via the scenic Beartooth Pass.  Wildlife sightings on the property include:  Deer, Moose, Mountain Lion, Black Bear cubs, Rabbits, Raccoons, Grey Fox, Skunk, Eagles, Sandhill Cranes, Ducks, Wild Turkeys, and man varieties of wild birds.  Cabins are open year-round.  Perfect for relaxation as well as recreation as it is fully supplied with all types of equipment, both inside the cabins and outside on the grounds.

If I could give this wonderful mountain respite 100 5 stars I would! The owners deserve 5 stars as well. Nothing goes unnoticed in the aspect of hospitality. Games, movies and books galore, and cell service if you choose to stay connected! There are always cooking staples, and the fridge has many basics as well. They have thought of EVERYTHING! If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, out of the craziness place to recharge or to spend a week of vacation, this is the place! We have stayed here many times and never get tired of it! Only 20 minutes to Red Lodge where you can get anything you forgot or head over the Beartooth Pass to Yellowstone! Only 30 minutes to East Rosebud and the National Forest! I highly recommend Canyon Creek for some alone time, couple connect, or family time! You will have a wonderful time!
