Description: This is a series of trail systems through big horn sheep wintering grounds. We like to take the most heavily used trail about 2.5 miles up the mountain for gorgeous panoramic views of the Pintlar Mountains and the town of Anaconda.
Trailhead. Traveling west from downtown Anaconda on Highway 1, when the road turns from 5 lanes to 2 lanes, take a right onto Cable Road. Follow Cable Road to Blue Eyed Nelly on the right.
