Located in Jefferson City, along I-15 just south of Montana's capital city of Helena, is the Tizer Botanic Gardens & Arboretum. Visitors have 6-acres of stunning gardens to explore, a diverse nursery, a beautiful wedding venue and various festivals and educational activities throughout the year.
There is a garden for everybody. There are 17 different gardens to explore and sure to peak your interest: Rose, Vegetable, Herb, Wildflower, Prickley Pear Creek, Children's Garden, Gazebo Garden, Gift Shop, Old Homesteaders Cabin, Secret, Asparagus, Begonias, Artists, Butterfly & Hummingbird, Meditation, Reading Tree, and Shade. Sunday in the gardens are Family Days.
The nursery is open April through September whole the gardens open in May and run through September. Many opportunities for special events help to create an experience like no other. The Annual Fairy & Wizards Festival is regarded as one of the best Montana Harry Potter or Disneyland showcases. The whole family can dress up in their finest fairy and wizard garb.
Guests are encouraged to bring their picnic and spend the whole day. Snack foods are available for purchase and during major events outside vendors sell food.
