Four Mile Basin

Uses: Hiking, biking, horseback riding.

Description: Wander a relatively flat valley between the Pintlar Mountains for a couple miles enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery. Upon coming to a split in the trail, take the path to the right. Continue the hike up the mountain taking time to appreciate the panoramic views, three mountain lakes, and stream winding near the path. 

Trailhead: Heading west on Highway 1 from Anaconda, turn left at the turnoff marked Spring Hill Picnic Area. Take the first road to the left and follow the hiker signs to the trailhead. Vehicles with high clearance recommended.
