Big Timber Carnegie Library Centennial Celebration

The Big Timber Carnegie Library is celebrating its Centennial throughout 2014. Numerous events are planned including the official celebration on June 28. Held on the Library's lawn, McLeod and Fourth Street, after the Big Timber Rodeo Parade, the commemorative program will feature special speakers, entertainment, and, of course, birthday cake. All are invited to attend.  Below is a list of what is planned to date.

New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2013 - Bridge Bonanza - $100 Grand Prize
February 12 - Friends of the Library Soup Luncheon - Featuring Soups of Yesteryear
March - Celebration of Dr. Seuss’ Birthday coordinated by Delta Kappa Gamma - Date TBA
March - Quiz Bowl sponsored by Delta Kappa Gamma - Date TBA
April 9- Friends of the Library Annual Meeting and Book Sale Begins
April - History of Carnegie Libraries presentation by Steve Harvey - Date TBA
May - Centennial Fashion Show coordinated by the Big Timber Woman’s Club - Date TBA
June 29 - The Library’s Big Day - Official Centennial Celebration after the Saturday Rodeo Parade on June 28
July 13 - Author’s Night - Featuring Internationally Known Author Carl Heissen
August - Neal Lewing Lecture, sponsored by Crazy Mountain Museum - Date TBA

August 15 - Children's Summer Reading Program Finale Featuring NASA Astronomer Program
September - Banned Books Potluck Supper for Book Clubs - Program led by Lauren McMullen
October - Tip Top Talent Variety Show
October 31 - Halloween Parade featuring 100 Year Old Candy Giveways
November - Friends of the Library’s Centennial Table at the Woman’s Club Bazaar

November 25 - Andrew Carnegie's 179th Birthday
December 5 - The Grand Future Celebration Tea - Focus on Libraries of the Future
